Salamah & Raquel's Pecan Torte

This is a picture of Salaaamah's Pecan Torte. It's AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone loved it. It's a strange recipe but it really works. My husband couldn't get enought of it. It's really good with praline ice cream. By the way I didn't have saltine crackers so I used Ritz and it still came out good.


3 egg whites
1 cup castor sugar 
1 tsp vanilla 
1 tsp baking powder 
1 1/2 cups pecans (chopped) 
3/4 cup whipping cream (whipped) 
20 saltine crackers (crushed)

  • Pre-heat oven to 170. 
  • Grease a spring form pan. Set aside. 
  • Whip egg whites until stiff...gradually add sugar until well mixed. 
  • Add remaining ingredients and fold until well blended. 
  • Pour into greased pan. Bake at 170 for 35- 40 minutes.
